When the pandemic was declared to reached Kenya, the Government of Kenya undertook stringent measures that involved curfews and travel restrictions. As at 16^th of December 2020, most of the reported Covid 19 associated death were men. Covid 19 become a widow’s making machine. May businesses (Both formal and informal) were closed and jobs were lost. Many widows could no longer feed their families because their sources of income were cut short. They could not afford to purchase protective masks. Consequently, we were inclined to rely on our partners for the survival of our widows.
