Office Admin

She is a dedicated office administrator at Come Together Widows and Orphans Organization, bringing her expertise from a diploma in Hotel Information Systems from Kenya Utalii College. With a strong commitment to supporting the community, Phascalia expertly manages office operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors and efficient handling of communications and supplies. Her organizational skills and compassionate approach play a vital role in enhancing the organization’s mission to uplift and empower those in need.

Florance Akinyi

Programs Department

Ms. Florance Akinyi, is pursuing Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies in the Technical University of Mombasa. She is currently working under the Programs Department at Come Together Widows and Orphans Organization. Her dedication to enhancing the welfare of widows and orphans has created a meaningful impact in their lives. She emphasized a strong commitment to compassion and advocacy, ensuring that each program developed by their team embodies values of dignity, empowerment, and sustainable change.

Ruth

Ruth Moraa Ombui

Resource Mobilization Officer

Ms. Ruth Moraa is a dynamic young professional armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Community Development from Chuka University. She has specialized in resource mobilization, boasting more than 2 years of hands-on experience in the field. Her primary responsibilities developing and implementing strategic plans to secure funding and support for organizational initiatives. Ruth is deeply committed to reshaping the discourse surrounding resource mobilization, particularly through her adeptness in crafting compelling proposals.

CTWOO is a registered Non-Profit Organization in Kenya, officially recognized by the NGO Co-ordination Board under the Non-Governmental Organizations Act since January 2019. Our journey began as a Community- Based Organization on 10th October 2013, and over time, we evolved into an NGO, empowering us to extend our services to Widows and Orphans across the entire country.

Come Together Widows and Orphans Organization is dedicated to Advancing Gender Equality and Ensuring Widows in all 47 counties in Kenya an have Equitable Access to Resources, Opportunities and that they don't loose their Dignity and they fully enjoy their Human Rights. CTWOO Champions for the protection of Human Rights and Uphold the Dignity of Widows, in alighnment with international standards including the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) and the Convention on the Rights of The Child. CTWOO believes that widows and their children are integral members of the family, despite the community and society often attempting to marginalize them after the loss of a husband and father to their children. Therefore, CTWOO places a strong focus on equipping widows, their children, and members of the community with knowledge about Family Law to ensure they are not subjected to discrimination rooted in harmful cultural practices.

We envision a society in which social justice, human rights, hapiness and prosperity are guaranteed for every widow and orphan in Kenya.

To put in place strategies and policies that ensure widows’ and orphans’ rights are guaranteed, protected and that they are economically, socially and politically empowered and that they live fulfilled lives.
