In February 2024, we officially launched the Come Together Widows SACCO, a transformative step towards enhancing financial sustainability for widows across the country. This initiative was born out of our successful WISALA Table Banking model, with the aim of expanding its reach and impact.
The SACCO provides widows with access to formalized savings and affordable credit services, enabling them to invest in income-generating activities, grow their businesses, and secure their financial futures. By fostering collective financial empowerment, the SACCO ensures widows can transition from dependency to self-reliance while building a strong support network within their communities.
