CTWOO is committed to eradicating Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), a harmful practice that violates the dignity and health of women and girls. We work to create awareness about the physical, emotional, and psychological consequences of FGM while advocating for its elimination at the community and national levels. Through education and partnerships with like-minded organizations, we support survivors in accessing medical care, counseling, and empowerment programs, helping them reclaim their lives and build a brighter future. Additionally, we introduce widows to financial inclusion and empowerment, equipping them with the tools and skills needed to thrive economically.
Family Planning
Understanding the unique challenges widows face, CTWOO promotes family planning as a critical aspect of empowering widows and their children. We provide information and resources to help widows make informed decisions about reproductive health, enabling them to take control of their lives and safeguard their families’ futures. Family planning focuses on widows of reproductive age who are fertile and sexually active. This initiative was introduced in response to increasing reports of widow and teenage daughter deaths related to unsafe abortions. By addressing these challenges, we aim to protect the health and well-being of widows and their families, empowering them to live fuller, safer lives.
